The Piscataquog River Local Advisory Committee (PRLAC) is a community-based advisory group that works with the New Hampshire Department of Environmental Services (NHDES) to monitor and preserve the health and natural beauty of the Piscataquog River as a public resource. Through local input, PRLAC helps inform NHDES and surrounding river communities about activities within the river corridor.

The Piscataquog River was designated a protected river under RSA 483 in 1993.
